Disjointed: Netflix Shines Light On Medical Marijuana

“Back in the day marijuana was a cause, a symbol of defiance, but now it is just a commodity”-Ruth

Disjointed features a woman who advocated for years, “fighting the man” on legalized marijuana usage, and employs her son and a few others she calls “budtenders” along with the typical comedy and romance the world loves to be tuned into.

This series has gotten the lowest ratings of the summer season, according to Rotten Tomatoes.  However, that rating is unfair due to the fact it was released August 25th, 2017, and toward the end of the summer. There a possibility that this show can shine light upon recreational usage of medical marijuana and a better understanding of the benefits that can come from medical marijuana since the legalization of this in the United States.

Medical Marijuana usage is a controversial topic that has many people brushing it off to the side as if it is not something we need to address as a definite aspect of holistic medicine and healing for the sick.

Even Olivia Newton-John is on the marijuana bandwagon, according to this article, stating:

the “Physical” singer wants to help change. Still fighting the disease, Newton-John will return to Australia this month for an event to promote and fundraise for her self-branded Wellness and Research Center.

“I will do what I can to encourage it. It’s an important part of treatment, and it should be available.” Newton-John said. “I use it for the pain and it’s also a medicinal thing to do – the research shows it’s really helpful.” (Merry Jane)

The question is: Are you going to tune into this Netflix series?
