Fake News Media Ignores Rally For Real Debates

While the fake news continued to complain about Hollywood sex scandals and late night talk show host flubs, they seemed to ignore a major rally on the steps of the Supreme Court Thursday afternoon regarding the current lawsuit to end the unfair treatment of third party candidates by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

“People should know this lawsuit continues to be important… so many more issues regarding immigration, foreign interventionism, taxes, and domestic surveillance could be discussed. If they are concerned with any of that they should know this is important because more of these issues could be discussed if we had all viable candidates on the presidential debate stage” said Charles Frohman, director of Our America Initiative.

While covering the event, the only other journalist to attend was Ford Fischer from News2Share, and another gentleman who came but left during the middle of the rally. None of the “mainstream” media outlets (who literally have offices down the street) made it out to cover the event.

While at the rally, I spoke to Libertarian candidate for Governor of New York Larry Sharpe. According to Sharpe, “if we don’t make a change now, it just gets worse… if this actually works, even if the SCOTUS says ‘no’ but the people actually understand what’s at stake here they may demand that we have more than just two people” on the debate stage (you can hear the full audio below).

As mentioned earlier, journalist Ford Fischer was also one of the few individuals to cover the event:

Johnson spoke to News2Share following the event, where he said that, “I really think that if I were allowed to have been in the debates, I would have been president of the United States.” He went on to confirm that he will not be running for office again.

At the end of the day the moral of the story is this, just because the fake news doesn’t report on it, doesn’t mean something important isn’t happening.
